They can show on the map or tell you world’s biggest capitals, countries of the world or even show you the most famous landmarks across the globe. On the other hand, there are also people who are not interesting in this field of science. But, you expect even from them, that they can show you landmarks from their own country. This is not always the true.

When British people were quizzed about their Great landmarks, a lot of them couldn’t put the finger on the map and show their locations. Even those world famous places, such as Stonehenge or Loch Ness lake, made them problems. Rental company Holiday Cottages, recently decided to test knowledgde about those places among British people across the country. They didn’t expect to get those results, as half of them got some of the answers very wrong.

Some places, such as Yorkshire Dales or York Minster, made troubles for them. 52% of the people couldn’t locate Yorkshire Dales, but around 56% of them knew where Yorik Minster is. Also, a little more then half of the respondents answered correctly about the location of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Around 75 per cent of them succesfully managed to pin point the location of Edinburgh Castle, of course in Edinburgh.

Britain for sure has a lot of wonderful landmarks worth visiting, probably it will takes a lot of time to count them all. Some of them are well known around the world, but there are those who are famous inside this inredible country. Even if people struggle to show their location on the map, because maybe they became nervous during this little quiz or they are not into geography very much, they stand proudly to represent this country.
